Just in time for the Queensland Election: A review of Pauline Hanson´s Autobiography and policies!

I have read Pauline`s book & her policies are for the most part, but not all, sound common sense but I was disappointed & shocked to find that she is anti gay. Pauline says in her maiden speech that "we do not want a society in Australia which one group enjoy one set of privileges & another group enjoy another set of privileges".

She wants one people, one nation, one flag & equality for all Australians. She does not believe that the colour of one`s skin determines whether you are disadvantaged.

Of course we know very well that it does.

How can there be equality when she excludes Homosexuals? She says on page 212 how she was invited to a gay nightclub not knowing that it was a gay nightclub & had she known it was a gay nightclub she would not have gone. It goes on to say that her views concerning gay rights were that she didn`t support homosexual marriages, homosexuals adopting children, or use of in-vitro fertilisation programs for homosexuals & that she supports the Mum, Dad & family unit.

That is discrimination & we are still fighting for equal rights (not special rights) for Homosexuals in Australia.

Homosexual marriages is not just about the marriage certificate but the legal basic human rights that come with the certificate that straight couples have the privilege of.

As for the issue of children Pauline herself used marriage because she was pregnant, I don`t think the perfect ideal Mum, Dad, & family was meant for people to get pregnant first & then get married to make it all perfect in the eyes of the church. Pauline had marriage breakdowns & children from those relationships along with many other relationships all the while she was working & also involved with politics & a social life, it seems to me that her children must have had to fend for themselves & very much have taken a back seat, so much for her idealistic Mum, Dad & family.

In my experience I do not know of one ideal perfect Mum, Dad & family, we all just muddle along in life doing the best we can & I think that same sex couples have such a struggle to have children that is so different from the way straight people conceive that surely children of same sex couples come into the world with so much love & care that so often is not the case with straight people & it is not for Pauline or anyone else to deny this right to life to a fellow human being. Equality means everyone.

Pauline has experienced being wrongly imprisoned, what of all the Homosexuals in Australia & throughout the world who have been imprisoned, their only crime being born gay?

Pauline says she has had hard knocks in life & she sprooks about A Fair Go. Pauline is not giving Homosexuals A Fair Go & not treating them with respect & equals who have a right to be here, she is ignorant & has no idea of the stigma & discrimination experienced by gays, it`s alright for her to get on her soap box & think she has been hard done by but in comparison to how life is for Homosexuals her life has been a warm bath.

Pauline needs to apologise & so do the worlds church leaders & all who discriminate & ostracise Homosexuals & their families, being discriminated against & ostracised is the cruellest form of abuse there is!
